A yard faces a problem no photographer can solve. The boat that has to be sold does not exist yet, and by the time it does the season is over. Orders come in winter, the build runs to spring, and the thing could only be shown in summer. Whoever stands at the January show has a brochure with last year’s model in it.
From your engineering data I build the same boat as a scene. After that another view costs no crane and no slipway. The hull in four colours, the deck with teak and without, the cabin in two fabrics, all from the same camera position so a customer can compare rather than guess. And when the real boat is finally afloat the photographs match the brochure, because the brochure came off the real dimensions.
