A boat show is two shows in one. In the hall your stand sits under artificial light between other companies logos; in the harbour the boats sit in daylight and move. Each needs a different approach, and somebody who can only do one of them brings home half the job.
Then there is the window. The good pictures of a boat in the water happen before opening or after closing, when there are no visitors in frame. In Cannes that means being on the pontoon before the sun comes over the hills. Start at ten and you photograph crowds instead of boats.
What comes out of the show
Stand design and planning
From the floor plan to the graphics. I plan the stand so it works with the hall rather than against it.
