Photographer for the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
The largest in-water boat show, spread across half the city. Yachts, stand, conversations and aerials.

FLIBS is not one show but half a dozen sites along the water, with a shuttle running between them. Underestimate that and the day goes on waiting in line rather than standing at the boat. A shooting plan for Fort Lauderdale starts with the site map, not with the camera bag.
For yards and suppliers this is the week American brokers come aboard. The material from it runs for a year afterwards, in proposals and on websites. So I do not only shoot show pictures but the things that sell later: the yacht without people on it, the details, and a short piece of film that carries the scale.
