Hotel photographer.
Rooms, bathrooms, restaurant, spa and the view from the air. Shot in whatever order the house happens to be empty.
Send an enquiry →The portal decides, not the website
A guest rarely finds a hotel through its own website any more. They find it on a portal, in a list of twenty houses in the same city, where the lead image is about six centimetres wide. Anything that does not work at that size has no effect, which is why a handsome wide shot of the lobby often does nothing while one good room picture does a great deal.
So I build the running order differently from the usual. First the images that win the booking on the portals, which are the room, the bathroom and the view, each as wide as possible without lying about it. Then what the website and Instagram need, which is mood, breakfast, people and detail. A twenty room house in four or five categories fits into one day if the rooms come free in the right sequence, and I plan that with reception rather than with a calendar.
