Marine equipment photography.
Cut out for the catalogue and the dealer portal, plus the same part at work aboard. Both from one job, both in the same colours.
Send an enquiry →Two pictures, both of them needed
A marine supplier needs two entirely different shots of every item. The catalogue image has to be cut out on white, colour accurate and consistent across views, because dealers pull it straight into their own portals. The in use image has to show what the same fitting looks like on a deck, or a customer cannot tell how big the thing is.
Most companies split the work, the catalogue to a studio and the application shots to a boat photographer, and afterwards the colours do not match. I shoot both on the same calibration and deliver them as one set. For items that exist only as a drawing the catalogue image comes out of a rendering, and even then the colour stays the same.
