Shipyard video.
A hull takes a year to build and is launched once. The launch happens at an hour somebody else decides, and it does not come back.
Send an enquiry →Three moments a yard cannot film again
A yard has three moments worth filming and each one happens once. The build in the shed, where scaffolding and masking say more about the craft than any brochure line. The launch, with the crane and the first water under the hull. And the sea trials, the only chance to film the boat running before she is handed over and disappears into private ownership.
Practically that means planning around your schedule, not mine. I keep the shed visits short and work with the light that is there, and for the launch I am on site before the crane arrives. Afterwards you have a film for the owner, footage the press can use and material that sells the next hull to the next customer.
