Over the Bahama banks the water often stands three metres deep over pale sand, and from above that turns into a turquoise no other cruising ground produces. Here the drone is not the extra, it is the main camera: what makes a boat in the Bahamas only becomes visible from a hundred metres up.
The price is distance. Between Nassau and the middle Exumas lies half a day of running, and along the way there is neither fuel dock nor spare part. A shooting day out there is planned as a passage, with a depth chart and fixed anchorages, not as an appointment you simply drive to.
