Gouvia is one of the busiest charter bases in the Ionian, and the water around Corfu films differently from the Aegean: green rather than deep blue, with hills close behind the anchorages. That closeness is an advantage, because a boat always has something in frame besides horizon.
The sea breeze builds after midday and the bays get busy in August, so the usable windows are early morning and the last two hours of light. Changeover is Saturday, which is when boats are empty, so a fleet shoot is planned around that day rather than around the weather.
