Send an enquiry →The island that charters latest into the year
Crete runs a season that lasts longer than the rest of Greece. In October, when the Cyclades have emptied, boats out of Agios Nikolaos and Chania are still working, and so is the light. For a charter operator that means the film can be made after the rush instead of during it.
The distances are the catch. From Heraklion to Chania is two hours by road, so a day covers one coast, not the island. I plan around one base plus the bays within reach of it, which is enough for a fleet film, and keep the same framing across the boats so the listings match.
