The Danish border runs down the middle of Flensburg Fjord, with harbours in sight on both sides. For a shooting day that means short distances and two jurisdictions at once, which matters mostly for the drone and gets settled beforehand.
Flensburg is also one of the few places in Germany where classic yachts are still built and maintained. Varnish, brass and teak need different light from white gelcoat: softer, from the side, as late in the day as possible. Shooting a boat like that the way you shoot a production hull throws away the very thing it was built for.
