Göcek sits inside a ring of bays where the water stays flat when the rest of the coast is blowing. For film that is worth more than scenery: a stable deck means the interior can be shot at anchor and the drone can fly on days when other coasts are grounded.
The charter season runs from April to November and turnaround is the only empty window, as everywhere. What makes Göcek easier is the distance: Skopea Limanı and the Twelve Islands are all reachable within an hour, so one day can cover several boats and several backdrops.
