The Inland Sea between Lefkada, Meganisi and Ithaca is the most sheltered cruising area in Greece, which is why beginners and flotillas are sent here. For filming it means a stable deck almost every day, and that is worth more than scenery when the interior has to be shot at anchor.
Porto Katsiki and Egremni give the dramatic frames, white cliffs straight into blue, and they are within an hour of the base. The canal at Lefkada opens on the hour, so the day is planned around it rather than against it.
