Marmaris keeps several thousand boats on the hard through the winter, which makes spring the season for yards, antifouling and handover photography rather than lifestyle work. In summer the same harbour turns into one of the biggest gulet bases on the coast.
The Hisarönü gulf behind the town is where the film happens: pine down to the waterline, bays with nothing built in them, water that stays flat until the afternoon. Drone flights in Turkey need registration and permission, which is worth arranging before the trip rather than on the quay.
