Phang Nga Bay is the reason to film in Thailand. Vertical limestone out of flat green water, an hour from the marinas, and nothing in the Mediterranean looks remotely like it. For a charter operator selling Asia, that half day produces the whole brochure.
The season runs from November to April; the southwest monsoon takes the rest of the year and makes the west coast unusable. Ao Po Grand and Boat Lagoon are the bases with the larger boats, and the national park areas need permission before anything flies.
