Chaguaramas is not a holiday cruising ground, it is the yard harbour of the eastern Caribbean. Because Trinidad lies south of the hurricane belt, hundreds of boats spend the summer ashore here while the yards paint, weld and rebuild alongside. For yards and owners that is a chance at material nobody else has.
A hull on the hard shows lines that are never visible afloat, and the sequence of before, during and finished sells a refit long afterwards. For the water shots the run is twenty minutes to Scotland Bay, closed in on all sides by rainforest.
