Spain runs one of the longest usable flying seasons in Europe. On the south coast and the islands you get clean air and low wind for most of the year, which means a shoot does not have to be planned six weeks out and hoped for. For property and hotel work that alone changes the economics.
The catch is density. Much of the Balearic coast sits inside controlled airspace because of the airports, and the summer months bring temporary restrictions over beaches and events. The map changes through the season, so I check it the week of the flight rather than relying on what was true last year.
