Large parts of the lake district belong to the Müritz national park, where flight bans and distance rules apply and are meant seriously. Sea eagles breed in the region, and a multirotor near a nest is not only prohibited but a bad idea. The permitted areas are large enough; you simply have to know them beforehand.
Outside those zones the area is very rewarding from the air: the lakes connect through canals and locks, and only from above does the network make sense. For a charter operator that is precisely the shot which explains a trip without a word being spoken.
