No other sailing country gives you a backdrop like this. A boat under sail with a thousand metre wall of rock behind her needs no styling and no explanation, and it reads instantly in a listing full of flat blue horizons. The trade is that the wind in a fjord is local and shifty, so the day has to be planned around it.
In the far north the summer light never really leaves, which turns the usual golden hour into a golden night. I have shot boats at one in the morning in a light that on any other coast you would wait all year for. I work with owners, clubs and yards from the Oslofjord to Lofoten.
