Norway buys boats at a rate that surprises people who only look at the population figure, and most of that fleet sits in the Oslofjord. The season is short and the standard is high: buyers here are used to well built boats and notice when a listing is photographed carelessly.
The fjord is sheltered, which makes filming predictable, and the light in August comes in low and long. Further out, the rock and the wooden houses on the shoreline give a setting that reads instantly as Scandinavian, which is exactly what a Norwegian yard wants in its material.
