Falmouth and English Harbour hold the large charter fleet from December to April, and the Charter Yacht Show in December is where the brokers who fill those weeks actually walk the boats. Material that is not ready by that show is a season late.
Nelson’s Dockyard gives the one backdrop in the Caribbean that is not simply another beach: Georgian stone, masts above the walls. Sailing Week in April closes the season with the racing footage, and the trade winds make for running shots that look fast because they are.
