Berlin has more water than Venice and a boat market that outsiders regularly underestimate. Between Wannsee, the Havel and Müggelsee sit dealers, yards and clubs, with the customers living within cycling distance. For sales material that means short journeys and an audience that comes by before buying.
On the water there are speed limits and fixed clearances under many bridges, which restricts the possible routes. In exchange the background can change completely within half an hour: pine shores at Wannsee, industrial edges in Spandau, the city skyline on the Spree. The same yacht can look like three different cruising grounds in one day.
