Marina Bas-du-Fort at Pointe-à-Pitre is one of the largest in the Caribbean, and most of the island's charter yachts leave from it. For fleet work that means the same as in Croatia: the boats lie together, the turnaround day is known, and several of them can be covered in a single day.
Guadeloupe is French territory, so European drone rules apply and no local licence is needed. The bay at Les Saintes an hour south gives the backdrop the flat main island lacks: steep slopes, a narrow entrance and an anchorage that reads like a crater from above.
