Porto Cervo is only busy from mid July to the end of August, and in those six weeks it holds a concentration of large yachts that rivals Monaco. Outside that window the marina is quiet, which is exactly when a boat can be photographed properly without a crowd in frame.
La Maddalena is the reason to film here at all. Granite, white sand and water that reads turquoise even in flat light. Flying inside the national park is restricted, so the aerials happen at its edges and the rest is shot from the chase boat.
