No harbour gives a boat what Venice gives it. It is also the hardest place in Italy to work: the lagoon has speed limits, the canals are traffic, and flying a drone over the historic centre is not permitted. Anything shot here is planned around rules first and light second.
What works is the water south of the Giudecca and the approach past San Giorgio, both early, both from a boat. The reward is a frame nobody else in the brochure has, and for a yard selling into this market that single image usually earns the trip.
