Drone pilot in St Barth.
Aerial photography and video on both coasts and inland. France requires a declared flight in most scenarios. That declaration is part of the job.
Send an enquiry →The steepest approach in the Caribbean
Aircraft come into Saint-Jean over the Col de la Tourmente at an angle no other airport in the region uses, and the approach runs low across the island. Anything flying near that line is a problem, so the work happens over the water, off Gustavia and towards Colombier.
St Barth is French territory, which means European rules rather than a local permit regime. That makes planning simpler than on most neighbouring islands, but it does not make the terrain any flatter: the hills around the harbour block signal quickly, so the operator moves with the boat instead of standing still.
