Superyacht photographer, Turkey.
Bodrum, Göcek, Marmaris and the build yards. A coast that builds, refits and charters in the same hundred miles.

Turkey does something no other market does in such a small space. New yachts are built at Antalya and Tuzla, large yachts are refitted in Bodrum and Yalova at a fraction of Mediterranean prices, and one of the biggest charter fleets in the eastern Med operates out of Göcek and Marmaris. A photographer working here shoots all three within a week.
Each one wants something different from the same boat. The yard wants the joinery and the paint, because that is the argument for buying Turkish. The refit yard wants before and after, which means two visits months apart with identical camera positions or the comparison is worthless. The charter operator wants the aft deck at seven in the evening with the table laid. I plan for whichever of the three is paying, and say so rather than delivering one set and hoping it covers everything.
