Turkey builds yachts at Antalya and Tuzla, refits large ones in Bodrum and Yalova at a fraction of Mediterranean prices, and charters one of the biggest gulet fleets in the eastern Med out of Göcek. A videographer working this coast films all three inside a week.
Each wants a different film from the same boat. The yard wants joinery and paint, because that is the argument for building here. The refit yard wants before and after, which means two visits months apart from identical positions. The charter operator wants the aft deck at seven in the evening. I plan for whichever one is paying and say so.
