In Cannes the call usually comes on Tuesday for a Thursday, because the owner disembarks and the next charter boards on Saturday. Whether the shoot happens at all is a question of who can be on the quay at two days’ notice. I am on this coast often enough through the season that the gap is workable, and the travel is my problem, not yours.
The light here is unusually good in the last hour and unusually hard at midday, which is why the schedule follows the sun and not the diary. Boats early and late, interiors and meetings in between, drone over the Lérins where it is cleared rather than over the harbour where it is not.
