Monaco is two jobs. Fifty weeks a year it is a berth where large yachts lie and get photographed between guests. Then comes show week in September, when a hundred boats and most of the people who buy and charter them are in one harbour for four days.
Both need different handling. For the show it is reportage, shot early before the gates open and in the last hour when the crowd thins. For the yacht herself the better day is the week before, at Cap d’Ail or in Antibes, where the deck is her own and the drone can actually fly.
