The Stockholm archipelago is the largest cruising ground in northern Europe and the season is brutally short: from midsummer to the end of August, and then it is over. Everything that needs to be photographed in a year has to happen inside that window.
What it gives back is light. In late June the sun barely sets, and the hour around midnight over granite and pine looks like nothing in the Mediterranean. Boats here are mostly sail, mostly Swedish built, and the buyers know exactly what they are looking at.
