Palma Boat Show photographer.
Four days on the Moll Vell, just before the Mediterranean season opens. The show where the island refit yards put their work on display.

The Palma International Boat Show falls at the end of April, which is the exact week the Mallorcan season starts. That is not a coincidence and it is why the show matters to the island more than its size suggests. Win a charter client or a refit contract here and the next five months are booked.
For photography that means two things. First, the material has to be finished before the show opens, because anything shot afterwards is too late for the season. So I photograph the boats and the yard during the winter refit, when nobody is aboard, and the show itself is then only the stage. Second, the Palma Superyacht Village and charter show sit right alongside, and there the aft deck in the evening with the table laid is the single image that sells a week.

Stand design and planning
From the floor plan to the graphics. I plan the stand so it works with the hall rather than against it.
