Superyacht photographer, Mallorca.
Palma, Puerto Portals, Port Adriano and the yards on the Paseo Marítimo. Shot in the refit window, when a yacht actually has time.

Palma is not only a marina, it is the largest refit yard for large yachts in the Mediterranean. That gives the island a photographic season the rest of the coast does not have, namely winter. Between November and March a yacht sits in STP with no guests, no charter and a crew that has time, which is the best set of conditions you will ever get aboard.
Practically it means two different jobs. In the yard you can shoot interior properly, with the space to work and nobody waiting, and that is where the sales pack gets made. In summer the same boat is in Portals for two days between charters, and then it is exteriors, running shots and drone. Planning both around the refit calendar rather than around a broker’s deadline is what makes the difference.
