Italy gives you two very different kinds of sailing in one country. The Costa Smeralda and the Tyrrhenian coast deliver the postcard water and the maxi fleets; the northern Adriatic and Lake Garda deliver reliable thermal wind and tight, close racing that photographs completely differently. Choosing the right one for your boat is half the job.
I shoot owners, clubs and charter operators along the whole coast. Chase boat during the racing, dock and interior work between starts, drone where the airspace permits. If the boat is heading to a regatta, planning the shoot around the schedule usually costs nothing extra and gets far better material.
